About the Chaire arts & sciences

The Chair "Arts & Sciences" of École polytechnique, École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs-PSL and the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, created in 2017, is a research-creation, teaching and mediation program between artists, scientists, designers, researchers and students. This unprecedented partnership between a science school, an art school and a foundation promotes interdisciplinary encounters and experiments with new research practices in order to foster the link between civil society and the academic world. The Chair "Arts & Sciences" mainly explores our interdependence with our environment, whether it is about climate issues or our relationship to matter, plants or technologies. The Chair "Arts & Sciences" also supports original ways of presenting research and creation projects, through defences - thesis exhibitions or with an interactive cartography of works in arts, sciences and design. http://chaire-arts-sciences.org

Through the Chair "Arts & Sciences," this project is included as a part of the “Exoplanète Terre” program, an initiative of 10 cultural partners in Île-de-France, gathered for a constellation of Art-Science events in 2019-2020 (www.exoplanete-terre.fr.)
